neighborhood cat

It appears that this kitten has adopted our side of the street. Or at least a few of our houses. She came up to us last weekend. We fed her, and so did our neighbors. (The non-law-school ones on the right. The law-school ones on the left appear frazzled with bar preparations.) I think it's a her, anyway. I tried to look, but I couldn't get a good view. She was gone for a few days, and then today she came back, and like suckers we fed her again. She doesn't have a collar - I suspect she's just a stray, but she could belong to someone.

She's just as cute as anything. You can't see it in this picture, but she has the fluffiest little tail in the whole wide universe. I had Betty out on Sunday, and she was none too pleased with this little intruder. What with wanting to get a pug-baby and all, I don't think bringing another kitten in is the best idea. But I'm starting to think if she sticks around, I should probably take her to get fixed.
